Introduction:
Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) manifests as white, light gray, light yellow, or brown crystals or powders, the color varying based on production techniques and raw materials. It is slightly acidic and, upon dilution with water, forms aluminum hydroxide precipitates. During its hydrolysis, various physical and chemical processes like electrochemistry, coagulation, adsorption, and precipitation occur, achieving water purification.
Polyaluminum chloride offers high adsorption activity, operates across a wide PH range, doesn't require additional coagulants, and remains unaffected by water temperature. Hence, it finds extensive application in purifying domestic and industrial water sources.
